Thanks to all the musicians who played on these tracks. This release would not be possible without their help. A note about the musicians: The Nebraska Jazz Orchestra is a 17 member big band. The more than 50 musicians listed on this CD reflect the changing personnel over a 9 year period and are a tribute to the wealth of talent available in Nebraska. The recordings on this CD represent music recorded from 1984 to 1993. The first five tracks are available on previously released recordings which may be ordered from the business office. Since 1977, The Nebraska Jazz Orchestra has presented an annual series of concerts in Lincoln and Omaha. In addition to its performances on the Nebraska Arts Council Touring Program, the band has toured internationally as well as performing extensively throughout the Midwest.
