The Nebraska Brass announces their second concerts of the 2001-2002
season:
"A Nebraska Brass Christmas"

"A Nebraska Brass Christmas" is the title of these concerts, which will
include the following selections: "Joy to the World," "Coventry Carol,"
"Noel Nouvelet," "Jingle Bells," "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "We Three
Kings," "Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer," "Sleight Ride," and others.
Tickets may be purchased at the door the night(s) of the concerts, or in
advance by contacting the business office at (402) 477-7889, 216 North 11th
Street, Suite 202, Lincoln, NE 68508-1401. Single admission ticket price
for Lincoln and Omaha are: Student, $6; Senior Citizen, $9; Adult, $12*.
*Single admission prices for Fremont only are: Student, $5; Senior
Citizen, $8; Adult, $10.
Season memberships are available at a pro-rated price and are good in any
city: Student, $19; Senior (65+), $29; Adult, $38; Family (2 adults max),
$88.
Members of the Nebraska Brass include: Dean Haist, trumpet and
Executive Director; Brad Obbink, trumpet; Richard Ricker, french horn;
Mark Mendell, trombone; John Thomason, tuba.

The Nebraska Brass announces their second CD release
of the 2000-2001 season:
"Christmas Time"
The Nebraska Brass proudly announces the release of their latest CD entitled
"Christmas Time", a collection of 20 all-time favorite Christmas
selections, performed by Nebraska's outstanding brass quintet.
"Christmas Time" is the second CD release by the Nebraska Brass
this year. The earlier CD, "By Request", was released in June of
2000, and includes both classical and pop arrangements that the Nebraska Brass
has been requested to perform many times throughout the last ten years.
Both of these CDs are available at Nebraska Brass concerts, and/or by calling
the Nebraska Brass business office, Arts Incorporated: (402) 477-7899.

Press Release: Thursday Night Jazz Series (3/15/2001)

The Thursday Night Jazz Series is proud to announce that the Joe Cartiwright
Trio will perform at world famous P.O. Pears, located at 322 South 9th
Street, Lincoln, NE, on Thursday, November 16th from 7:30 - 10:00 pm. The
Kansas City Group was originally scheduled to perform on September 20th, but was
rescheduled due to circumstances surrounding the events of September 11th.
Pianist Joe Cartwright has performed with such jazz luminaries as Bill
Watrous, Rob McConnell, Karrin Allyson, and Kevin Mahogany. He has
produced and performed on more than 15 recordings in the last 17 years.
This concert is sponsored by Butch Berman and the Berman Music Foundation.
