The Lincoln Municipal Band Continues Tradition, Announces Summer Concert Series
The Lincoln Municipal Band is pleased to announce the schedule for the Sunday evening 2004 Summer Concert Series. A tradition since 1911, this series features a variety of themes to suit all musical tastes. Each concert features a guest conductor and soloist.
The 2004 Summer Concert Series:
July 11 • Star Spangled Spectacular

July 25 • Hot Cars & Cool Music

August 1 • Salute to Veterans
Conductor: Bob Krueger • Soloist: Dawn Pawlewski, vocalist
August 8 • Tribute to the March Kings

August 15 • Young at Heart

August 22 • All-American Celebration

These free concerts are the most popular events of the Lincoln Parks and Recreation summer performance series and boasts regular crowds of more than 1500 citizens from Lincoln and its surrounding communities. The Lincoln Municipal Band presents its concerts in a traditional concert format that includes overtures, marches, pops music, instrumental and vocal soloists.
The Sunday concerts begin at 7:00 p.m. in the John Shildneck Memorial Bandshell in Antelope Park, Lincoln, Nebraska. Admission is free.
