NEBRASKA JAZZ ORCHESTRA ANNOUNCES 2006-2007 SEASON

Lincoln, NE — The Nebraska Jazz Orchestra announces their 2006-2007 season of events. The 31st season of the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra will feature a variety of guest artists from across the nation. Guest artists for the season include grammy-nominated vocalist, Karrin Allyson; MAXJAZZ star vocalist, Christine Hitt; legendary
trumpeter, Mac McCune; Kansas City recording artist, Kerry Strayer; jazz vocalist, Giacomo Gates; and Philadelphia trumpeter, Terell Stafford.
Season tickets are available: Adults $90, Seniors $75, and Students $40. Season Tickets are offered to new subscribers at 50% off the regular price. General admission tickets for individual concerts (except for the Lied Center performance) may be purchased in advance and will also be available at the door the night of each
concert. Ticket prices are: Adults $20, Seniors $17, Students $10. Ticket prices for the Lied Center performance are $22/$29/$39 (student tickets at half price) and are available through the Lied Center ticket office at (402) 472-4747 or www.liedcenter.org. All concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Check the season schedule for

Out of Kansas City, Kerry Strayer leads the Kerry Strayer Orchestra and has recorded with artists such as Randy Brecker. He will join NJO musicians for an all-star evening of jazz.

Join the NJO and featured vocalist Giacomo Gates, whose classic roots and varied repertoire have brought him international acclaim. This concert will also feature Omaha’s Metro Area Youth Jazz Orchestra as a part of our Jazz 101 program.
