JANUARY 2005 The Nebraska Jazz Orchestra proudly announces Learning from the Master , the third concert of their 2004-2005 concert season. Learning from the Master features saxophonist Roger Neumann and the 2005 Young Lions All-Star Band, an auditioned honor ensemble comprised of some of the area's most talented young jazz musicians. The concert is Friday, January 21, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. and will be held at the Embassy Suites Hotel, 1040 P Street , Lincoln . Priority seating for season ticket holders and Jazz Club members is at 7:00 p.m. General admission seating begins at 7:15 p.m. General admission tickets may be purchased in advance by contacting the business office at Arts Incorporated at (402) 477-8446. Tickets are also available for purchase at the door the night of the concert. Ticket prices are: Adults $20, Seniors $17, Students $10. Pro-rated Season tickets for the 2004-2005 are also available at: Adults $45, Seniors $38 and Students $23. As an arranger and composer, Roger Neumann has written for Buddy Rich, Count Bassie, Ray Charles, The Raelettes, Ray Brown, The Beach Boys, Jerry Garcia, Ann Jillian and many more. He has written arrangements and compositions for the TV series, “The Young and the Restless,” “Moonlighting,” “Hollywood Housewives” and “My Favorite Martian.” Mr. Neumann has also composed arrangements for several “Ice Capades” Christmas specials. In addition, he has performed with Woody Herman, Lee Castle/Jimmy Dorsey Band, The Beach Boys, Ray Anthony, Les Brown and Bob Crosby, to name a few. His music has been featured on the soundtracks of several Showtime movies including, “Three Men and a Little Lady” and “Mumford.” He has appeared in the movies, “LaBamba,” “My Favorite Year,” and “For the Boys.”
